Meet the instructors, playlist and all
September 2, 2026
The loop starts on Instagram
Every instructor on Riverside builds their own playlist for their own classes, and most of them post it before you ever walk in the door. You see a name on your feed, you tap through to the studio, and if that class has a playlist loaded, you can hear exactly what you are riding into before you book it. That loop, an instructor posting a playlist, a rider finding it, a rider booking the class it belongs to, is the whole idea behind the page built for every name on the schedule.
It also means the studio is not writing these bios from a distance. Every line below is pulled from what each instructor has already published about themselves, which is exactly why a few names below are shorter than others. Nobody is inventing a backstory for anyone else here.
Heather Vidoli
Heather Vidoli is a Riverside girl through and through, born and raised in Jacksonville with a stint in Miami for college. She found rhythm based fitness early, starting Pure Barre in 2015 and cycling the year after, and she was part of the studio's opening instructor team back in 2022. By day she works in wholesale for Lilly Pulitzer, supporting small business partners, which may explain why her classes run like a well organized party. Expect high energy, fun choreography, a fire playlist, and Heather cheering loudest for whoever needs it most.
Marla Leonhard
Marla Leonhard left a career in the nonprofit world in 2018 to teach fitness full time, and her own riding on Riverside began in 2022. She recently added Sculpt classes to her week alongside cycling, and she talks about watching riders build confidence class over class as the best part of the job. Music has always mattered to her, enough that you genuinely never know what will show up on one of her playlists. Originally from Miami, Marla now lives in Mandarin with her husband Jeff and their dog Binkley.
Derek Leyva
Derek Leyva grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and has called Jacksonville home since 2014. Off the mic, he travels across the United States and Canada teaching, competing, performing, and judging West Coast Swing, and that dance background shows up directly in how he builds a ride. His playlists carry a strong beat and move across genres rather than sitting still in one lane, and he leans into themed rides often enough that regulars know to expect a surprise.
LaTaisha Mazumdar
LaTaisha Mazumdar has called Jacksonville home for more than twenty years and describes indoor cycling as nothing more than two stepping on a bike, which tells you everything about how her classes move. She found the energy and camaraderie of the room infectious enough to become an instructor herself, and the goal in her class is simple: get so lost in the music that you forget how hard you are working. Off the podium she works in finance, is married with two children, and says plainly that she wants Sculpt x Cycle to be the premier indoor cycling studio in Jacksonville.
The rest of the mic
Not every instructor has published a bio yet, and Riverside is honest about that rather than inventing one. Maya Drum, known on Instagram as maya.onthemic, and Kevin Sacayanan, known as kevinsaccc, both teach regularly on the schedule. Their pages will fill in the same way the others did, with their own words in their own time. A roster this size also includes names you will only meet by showing up: instructors whose classes fill the early mornings and the weekend slots without a published bio behind them yet, still very much part of what makes the week run.
Find your name, then find your class
Every instructor page on the site works the same way. A playlist when one is loaded, a real link to follow them on Spotify when it is not, their Instagram handle, and the actual classes they are teaching this week with a bike waiting to be booked. Scroll the full roster, find the name that matches the energy you want, and let their week tell you when to show up.
That is really the whole system. An instructor posts a playlist because they are proud of it, a rider hears something they like and follows the link, and the class that playlist belongs to is sitting right there, ready to book. Nothing about the room changes from one instructor to the next, twenty seven bikes and one podium either way, but the person leading it changes everything about how the hour feels.
